En route from Ontario to Alberta, three unordinary characters make a pit-stop in a Manitoba Provincial campground where they must remain until they can acquire gas money in order to enable them to continue their trek towards Calgary where they hope to fulfill their dreams of fame and fortune.

Where camping is not like what you see

in the cartoons!

This is the Stranger. Little do they know that their encounter with this seemingly harmless fellow will lead them to a crossroads that will bring forth a drastic detour in their “highway of dreams.”

There’s Linus, a quiet, yet strong and rugged chap, looks to utilize a plot of land left to him in an Uncle's inheritance so he can begin a harvest of his own brand of tobacco to sell.

Chester, the yappy, chatterbox sidekick, has dreams of making it big at a famous cartoon studio where he hopes to apply his gift of doing impressions along with his ability to make noises with his vocal chords to become the next Mel Blanc...

...and Chrissy Walker, AKA "Butterfly Oasis," the down-home, good-hearted country girl from Kingston, who has aspirations to busk with her trusty six-string outside the Calgary Stampede with hopes of getting discovered and landing a record deal.

During their stay, however, they meet a mysterious, gun-toting, odd-looking gent whose quirky behavior, quiet nature and impulsive obsession with writing in his laptop at any given minute of the day (and night) leads them to suspect perhaps he has a hidden agenda against them as the three also try and protect a untidy secret of their own.
